Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College, Sarhali (Tarn Taran) was established in 1970. Sant Baba Tara Singh Ji was the founder patron of this college. Baba ji established this college with the active co-operation of the people of this area. The college has made a significant progress in academic and other fields since then. The contribution of Sant Baba Tara Singh Ji is also equally important in other fields of life. He made tremendous efforts during his life to uphold the glory of the Sikh shrines located in different parts of the country. Baba Charan Singh Ji as his successor continued the tradition. Now Baba Sukha Singh Ji, present Patron of the college, has been following in the foot steps of his predecessors. Baba Hakim Singh, President and S. Mukhtar Singh, Honorary Secretary are working very hard for the overall development of the college. With the whole-hearted co-operation of the Patron and the Managing committee, the college has attained many achievements. The college has started the latest career-oriented courses and thereby is keeping pace with the changing trends in the field of education.
